This high protein chocolate almond cereal is best for low carb, dairy free breakfasts where macros matter more than dessert like flavor. The price stands out against other protein cereals, and it can work well with almond milk, Fairlife milk, or mix ins like peanut butter powder. The texture is the main tradeoff, with comparisons to Grape Nuts, chalkiness, and a very hard crunch that softens after a minute in milk. A practical pick if you want protein and can handle a rough bite.
Common Questions (5)
It has a very hard, Grape-Nuts-like texture that some describe as a jaw workout. The crisps do soften after about a minute in milk, but the cereal can still feel chalky or too tough if you prefer a lighter crunch.
Common add-ins are Fairlife fat-free milk, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, PB powder, and sometimes extra fiber or granola. PB powder tends to thicken the milk rather than stay on the flakes, so keeping the milk amount low helps.
The cereal is often treated as a deal buy, with shoppers recommending stock-up prices like Publix BOGO or other mega deals. It is considered a good value when priced around this level because the taste and macros are acceptable for a high-protein cereal.
It has 5 grams of sugar per cup and is described as one of the few low-carb, high-protein cereal options. A normal bowl can be 3-4 cups, so the total sugar depends heavily on portion size.
Yes, it is dairy free. That makes it usable for people avoiding whey protein ingredients.

Considering the price, taste, and macros, I am a big fan of this cereal. There are better-tasting high-protein cereals out there, but nowhere close to this price.
My favorite way to eat it is to mix it with a tbsp of PB powder, 1 cup of the cereal, and lite vanilla almond milk.
