Lavazza Super Crema is a budget espresso bean that delivers solid crema and a decent cup for the price. The 2.2 pound bag at about $15 stands out as a strong value, and the beans are described as working especially well for espresso and iced espresso. Freshness can be hit or miss, though, with reports that the bag starts off very lively and then drops off quickly after opening. It is a practical pick if you will use it up fast.
Espresso drinkers who want a creamy shot, because it pulls lots of crema and tastes fantastic for espresso.
Home baristas who like a forgiving everyday bean, because it can be dialed in successfully and still tastes decent for the price.
Coffee drinkers who go through beans quickly, because freshness can drop after opening and the crema fades.
People who need a bean that stays fresh for a long time, because freshness can drop after opening and the crema fades quickly.
Espresso drinkers chasing a highly distinctive flavor profile, because one tasting note describes it as middling at best.
Shoppers who need a reliably easy-to-tune bean, because it can be hard to dial in for a preferred taste.

I can't tell the difference in freshness from my local roaster.. but maybe my taste isn't refined enough.

Has varies. Some places it's over $6 a gallon. My local cheapest as of a few days ago was $4.97, but that's been fluctuating a fair bit thanks to the moron-in-chief.
