This 8 by 10 foot 10 mil polyethylene tarp stands out as a cheap, heavy duty cover for camping, firewood, RVs, boats, emergency roof patches, and general storage. It also gets used as ground cover to help block dirt, bugs, and spiders, and the size works for rainy season prep and other odds and ends. Buying three drops the price to $6.99 each, which makes the deal even stronger. The main caution is that tarp thickness matters, and using it directly on a car for snow or ice can scratch the paint when removed.

  • Buying three drops the price to $6.99 each, which makes the tarp cost-effective.

  • The tarp can be used as ground cover for a camping tent to help block dirt and bugs.

  • The tarp works for practical outdoor coverage like firewood piles, RV or boats, and emergency roof repair.

  • The tarp can be used for snow prep by placing it on a car before freezing and then pulling it off afterward.

  • The 5-mil thickness option can feel sketchy for heavy-duty expectations.

  • Placing the tarp directly on a car for ice or snow coverage can scratch the paint when removing it.

so you put these on your car, before a big snow? and then just pull them off. probably work before freeze as well, so no scraping
It's not recommended to put tarp directly on the car for the use you mentioned. It will scratch the paint when you go to pull it off with the weight of the ice/snow.

Depends on how nice the car is, I guess. Probably matters little for my kids' 2012 Ford Focus.
