That's about what it costs (or less) to import them when buying tons of them. So decent deal

Most don't know that the heat placed at the bottom heats up their stomach as well. It's not good for their digestive system and this has been proven bad for cat health. Now if you don't use the heater then it's fine!

The act of having an outdoor cat (especially in a non-rural area) shows that the owner doesn't care about the cat or the local bird population in general so I doubt they care about its digestive system.
So just screw the feral cats and let them starve to death or die of hypothermia? Your empathy is remarkable. FWIW, you can't "own" a feral cat, but you can care for it.

Do you have any scientific studies on this? I'm from an area where winters have stretches where it doesn't get above zero degrees fahrenheit for weeks on end mixed with 40 below wind chills and the average winter temp falls somewhere around 15 degrees. Feral cats will often die if they don't find a heated shelter. I think the trade off of some minor digestive issues is well worth it.

"That statement is false. There is no veterinary evidence or biological mechanism showing that lying on a pet-safe heated surface damages a cat's stomach or digestive tract.

Cats have a higher normal core body temperature than humans (~101°F to 102.5°F / 38.3°C to 39.2°C) and a high metabolic drive to seek external heat to conserve energy. This is why they instinctively lie on floor heating vents, sunlit spots, laptop chargers, and warm pavement."

This is from Gemini.

Funny how these ads always show it with a cat but that cat, based on the dimensions in the add (6"D x 8"W x 9"H) would be about 6 inches long.

I have one from a previous deal. The neighborhood cats absolutely won't go inside, but love sleeping on top of it when it's dry. The top gathers water when it rains.

I'm pretty against people letting their cats roam because it can lead to their deaths and devastation of local birds and other small animals. But I still put one of these up last winter because however I feel about it doesn't mean that the cats, feral other otherwise, should freeze.

Looks like a good deal. I know I prefer a warm stomach to freezing every minute of the night until I croak. Good intentions.....but they pave a road....
