Best thing is the rare for speakers vesa mount. I have them on monitor wall mounts.

Yes, they fit on top of the mains perfectly. But it's not a great experience sound or atmos wise. You lose too much by bouncing sound and it only kind of okish works when speaker position, room height, ceiling material, and seat position align near perfectly. It just doesn't feel like sound coming from above as much as using them in height/top config by mounting them high and pointing at your seating.
VESA mount: they have 4 screws in the back that let you mount these like a TV or computer monitor. That makes them very flexible as onwall and on-ceiling speakers.
Crossover: this is a closed/air suspension design. The woofer is too small to generate much sound below 100hz. The claimed "45 - 37000 Hz" in the spec is not close to what I have measured or what is reasonable to expect from a closed design with a single, medium size woofer. So a subwoofer will have to help them out. It's best to cross over a bit above the roll off frequency since the crossover is not a cliff - they still have to play below the crossover point a bit. 120hz is about the highest crossover point you want to use for Atmos as it becomes noticeable that the low end sound isn't coming from the right spot above that. 80hz would be better - but not with these speakers. That's the only major draw back of these I noticed.
Bounce vs direct: they have a switch to alter the frequency response a bit to compensate for ceiling bounce loss, but it's still a much inferior experience running them in this mode. It works slightly better if you use them with concrete ceilings, but still, direct is much better sound clarity and sound directionality wise. Believe me, I have tried avoiding running cables up the walls. It would have been a lot easier to just put them on the fronts and bounce.
Cinema ultra 100: the main speakers from this series are outstanding. I have 4 and at a good price like this 70% off deal, I would buy between 3 and 7 more. They haven't been available from adorama even at full price for close to a year or so.

12x10 room that is open on the left (dining/living room that pretty common in condos)
Couch is 10 ft from the fronts which are on stands directly to the left and right of the front of the TV and the atmos add ons on top
10" onkyo sub (old one from a HTIAB) behind the left speaker
L/R surrounds slightly behind couch on speaker stands
Rear L/R surrounds mounted to rear wall as described earlier.
Height speakers are preferable. In-ceiling or on-ceiling are ideal.
If you can't do any of those, don't bother with upfiring "Atmos enabled" junk. Useless.
