The Viper model in this thread is significantly better and worth the additional $70 imo.

The Vortex Viper HD 10x42 is a higher tier binocular aimed at birding and spotting, with noticeably better glass and coatings than the Diamondback line. The HD and ED glass are called out as real optical upgrades, and the wider field of view and light transmission at 10x are praised for detail. The main caveat is that HD labeling can be confusing, so the specs are worth checking. Overall, it reads as a strong optics upgrade for the price.
The Viper range is described as having particularly good glass and coatings compared with lower-tier Diamondback models.
The Viper HD 10x42 binoculars use High Density lenses that can improve perceived detail for spotting and birding.
The Viper HD 10x42 deal is framed as especially strong because focus charges no tax and shipping is free.
The ED glass is described as a real, non-marketing feature that can make a difference versus versions without ED.
The "HD" label can be confusing because HD and ED are marketing terms that may not always match High Density or Extra Low Dispersion specs.
Some listings may undercut the deal price, including an OpticsPlanet Diamondback HD 10x42 listing for $250 with only a color difference claimed.
In-store comparisons between Diamondback and Viper 10x42 models reportedly looked extremely similar, which can make the upgrade feel less obvious.

I wish they were 8x. 10x seems to be what most people reach for, but I think 8x is the sweet spot that people sleep on. For spotting or birding the extra field of view and light transmission is huge, and if the glass is good you'll see way more detail than someone more magnification and worse glass.

The only difference its a "grey" color instead of green. whatever. Found these for a friend earlier this year, no complaints.
