Any 3.5" SATA drive would be fine. A low power green or eco model would be best since high performance drives can get quite hot in a dock like this unless you run a fan over it

Look up your motherboard manual, it's common that only certain configurations work.

If you have room you might prefer to just add a pcie sata expansion card
