Lavazza Il Filtro Classico is a dark roast whole bean coffee that lands as a decent, richer cup at a very low price, with several orders coming in around $10.60 to $10.87. The beans have arrived with about a year left before expiration, and the bags were described as not burnt or stale, often still oily. It works best with a burr grinder, and oily beans can be a poor fit for espresso, especially superautomatic machines. The main caution is that the 35 percent coupon appears to be one time use only, and the roast may taste weaker than expected for a dark roast.
The deal reportedly works well for buyers who want to try Lavazza at a low total cost.
The coffee can deliver a darker, richer flavor profile for whole-bean brewing.
The beans reportedly arrive with oil on the coffee and show expiration about a year out.
The coffee may suit drinkers who already like Grand Crema flavor characteristics.
The dark roast may not perform well for espresso extraction and can taste stale if beans are old.
The coupon can be limited to one-time use, which reduces repeat-deal value.
The coffee can fall short of freshly roasted quality and may taste weak or washed out.
The deal may be difficult to reproduce for some accounts when selecting Subscribe & Save options.
