I don't see it explicitly say where it's made, but fair guess this is another "Japanese-style" Made in China
looks like a mixed listing - a bunch of the reviews are not for a santoku style knife

He also mentions how a chefs knife is all you need. The knife kits come with so many other ones that are nothing a chefs knife cant already do. Watch food network and you'll see that
Don't listen to the knife snobs who like to show off their expensive "baby" to others
There are several different names selling what appears to be knives from same Chinese factory that makes really good knives. The other name is Sunnecko.
The faux Damascus is actually a good thing, hides scratches and water spots. Thank god this is not a real Damascus, at 17bucks it would be recipe for delamination and or rust.
