Combat Max Roach Killing Gel is described as a strong roach bait that can also help with ants, especially when placed in cracks, under trim, and around kitchens or garages. The gel is praised for reducing infestations quickly and for lasting through repeated treatments, with some preferring it over indoor bait dishes or granules. A recurring caveat is that it may not work well on ants in every case, and nearby barrier sprays can keep roaches away from the bait.

  • The gel can reduce a heavy roach infestation quickly and keep working with twice-yearly reapplication.

  • The gel can be applied in deep gaps and openings to target roaches where they hide.

  • The gel can be used alongside a syringe-style application approach by placing remaining bait in hard-to-reach containers.

  • The gel can reportedly help eliminate German roaches within a couple weeks when compared to Advion gel bait.

  • The gel may not work well for ants even though the label claims ant control.

  • The gel may fail to eliminate the roach colony even when it is used in bait stations.

  • Roaches may avoid the bait if a barrier spray is applied nearby.

  • The gel's effectiveness can depend on application method, since some users report dead roaches after spraying while the gallon jug remains mostly unused.

How long would I have to do another application again?
If I came to your house, I would use that 10 dollar Alpine WSG and charge you 75 for a tiny apartment or 180 or more for a full house. I would spray 1 quick coat, tell you to keep the kids and pets away from the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room for 30 minutes, and leave. My main hope would be getting you to call me back in 4 to 6 months when you spot another bug. For friends, I tell them the real secret. Layer 2 or 3 coats and let each coat dry completely. The key here is long term effectiveness. If you apply 2 solid coats and make an actual effort to pull out the stove, dishwasher, and fridge to treat those areas right, you will not see any roaches for a year or longer. Unless your place is completely filthy, but even then, it is pretty doubtful.

Or even easier and less expensive option is just to mix boric acid, sugar, peanut butter and make a paste. Use tiny drop along dark corners. It glues like a gum. I wouldn't be surprised if this paste has the same or similar ingredients/formula
No. Just no. I ran my business from around 91 until 2013 when I retired. I worked no more than 3 days a week and cleared 1200 to 1500 for those 3 days on average, clean after accounting for gas, insurance, and supplies. This stuff basically makes the central nervous system of roaches, spiders, bedbugs, flies, and ants explode. There is no maybe about it, there is only complete death for the pests. This is the absolute nuclear option. For 25 dollars, you are set. You will not even use the full gallon of liquid. Just put what is left in a sealed bag, keep it in a cool dry place, and spray again 6 to 8 months down the road even if you do not see anything. 1 gallon will easily stretch over 2 years for 3 or 4 treatments. You will simply never see bugs in your home, period. Do not mess around with half-baked cheap solutions when it comes to roaches in your living space. This stuff is as easy as it gets. A cheap garden sprayer, 1 gallon of water, mix in the WSG, shake, pressurize, and spray. Then, complete and total death. It does not get any easier than that.

I've used this for over 10 years. Had a bad infestation and decided to give this product a try. I saw fewer roaches that week. I kept using twice a year after that.

I avoided hiring a professional because they just spray all barrier all over the place. I also avoided a diy barrier type spray as well since I have pets.

I apply outside under the front and back door trim deep in any openings I can find. Again this is to avoid my pets from getting a lick from it. I also apply near the garage door openings in any deep opening I can find. I use the rest in the corners of my concrete wall wherever I can find a deep gap.

The rest of it I pull the plunger out and drop the tube into my sprinkler box so roaches can gobble up the remaining that I can't squeeze out.

The only roaches I find these days are dead ones in the garage. I sweep those outside and let other roaches cannibalize it and still effectively taking the poison back to their colony.

If you plan to do this, avoid applying this stuff near a barrier spray. Roaches will avoid the bait if they sense a barrier spray. I don't use a spray so I've never had any issues with them taking the bait.

Sure and then your dog smells it, licks it up and is dead.

What about Advion Cockroach Gel Bait ? I used it before and it seemed to work fine. Those german roaches disappeared just after a couple weeks. Not even sure how I got them because I had never had them before. Read that it is used by the pros also.

We accidentally bought something second hand that had evidence of bedbugs, so we used Alpine WSG preventatively and have been finding dead roaches here and there after we sprayed. Also have most of our gallon jug still remaining. Tom knows what he's talking about.

Boring acid in the mixture does the same: their nervous system "explodes" and carry the acid to their nest eliminating the colony. Sugar and peanut butter are just to attract them to the mixture. This is also on ytube by a tuber equally qualified as you claim to be.

No, no and no lol. Boric acid is easily detected by pests, but dinotefuran is completely invisible to them. It gets carried secretly right back to the harborage, wiping out nymphs and reproductive females while killing pretty much anything in its path. It is a silent killer. I ran my own pest control business for over 20 years. If a professional exterminator showed up to your home with a bottle of boric acid, they would be out of business in a heartbeat. Besides, if boric acid actually solved real infestations, exterminators would have been out of work decades ago. I appreciate the comment, but, think about your own logic before making a comment. The math doesn't math haha.
