Big Mac deal on the 9th never materialized in our town. I'm not seating by the calendar again waiting for this. McD can pound sand after all their ridiculous price hikes, voting with my wallet.

I was wondering the same, but since 9/18 is National Cheeseburger Day, this deal might have more participating locations.
One McD near me still has $1.50 McChickens, so this is a no brainer for me

This is a nationwide offer for National Cheeseburger Day, and almost all locations usually participate every year. The previous Big Mac deal was a localized promo by a northern franchise to celebrate the return of football season in New England, but it got picked up on by a bunch of deal sites and the rumor spread far and wide without the location caveat. You're absolutely right about the prices. Earlier this year the large iced tea was $1.49 at my McDonald. Few months ago they increased it to $1.79. It wasn't enough that they recently raised the price to $1.99 including sodas. They also did away with refills nation wide by eliminating fountain drink machines from customer access (though some restaurants will give you one refill on sodas but not all). These days I only buy the deals such as free medium fries with $1 purchase or sports team related promo. I saw a YouTube video that one McDonald's in CT charges $19 for a Big Mac meal and that's over $20 with tax.

Yeah, several of the ones near me have gotten rid of the self-serve drink stations as well. Luckily, all the ones around here still offer unlimited refills, but you just have to ask at the counter. I've gotten a few refills at times. An article about it a while back said that it wasn't supposed to affect the free refill policy, but I guess it depends on the franchisee.

My McChicken's in my area were $2 last week and magically they are all now $2.99. It's like it is following fuel prices for me.

That made me curious about the condiment prices near me and it looks like they're all over the place as well now, depending on location. The sauces used to be a quarter at most of the stores around me, but the one I usually go to now is 30¢ across the board for all their sauces. But I looked at another location a mile away and they're 29¢ each, except the hot mustard dip is free. Then looking at another store that's a couple miles away, they charge 50¢ for most of the sauces, but the Chili McCrispy is 49¢, while the hot mustard and the new featured Mighty hot sauce are both free. It's like they just roll the dice to see what they want to charge for them or something, lol.

I agree.I occasionally get an EggMcMuffin because there's almost always a $2 offer for it in the app, but their regular prices are ridiculous for what you get.

Yes, depends a lot on locations. I went to 6 different restaurants in the DMV area, nobody gives refill on iced tea. Several gives one free refill on sodas. Nobody is doing unlimited refills. Getting rid of refills on sodas is the the dumbest policy ever. It's nearly impossible to lose money on $2 soda. The profit margin is around 90%. Nobody is going to drink 10 cups just to break even. I could understand some restaurants have limited seats and they don't want people to sit there forever. McDonald's is doing little things to be unfriendly to customers. Several restaurants in my area have the sign of 30 minutes dining with order though they rarely enforce it.
