My sump failed and I was using my 6 gallon 5HP Hart vacuum to suck up water and flush it down the toilet. I must have filled it a few dozen times, filling the tank in seconds and flushing it right after. Helped IMMENSELY with damage control. Not once did the vacuum hiccup.
I had the Hart carpet spot cleaner that burned up its motor. Was looking at a Bissel Pet Pro but keep reading that a wet/dry vac would work better. This for $50 is better than the Bissel for $140.
