If you are in the market for a quartz Aviator, this looks to be a good deal. Swiss quartz movement, suede strap, sapphire, made by a Stuhrling sub-label. Shipping is free with a (free) "Star Rewards" membership.

Yes, that original price is inflated. And yes, that is a lot to pay for a quartz watch. But it looks to be of reasonably good quality.

I highly recommend buying Timex, Casio, Orient, Citizen or Seiko rather than this brand.

Agreed. Can get a VAER too around this price range if you like the field watch look.

Looks like a field watch without the 24 hour markers.

^^this^^ plenty of eco drives and autos in this price range and way better quartz options if that's your thing.

That is fair, and I would likely choose the VAER S3 Tradition for the same price. That said, it's traditional field watch sized (36mm) rather than aviator (42mm), comes with a nylon strap, and the Miyota in the VAER is slightly less accurate than the Ronda in this one--though it's a bit moot for quartz. The cheapest you get into a field watch with the Ronda 5 series is the Luminox, I think, which is still hard to find retail under $200.

I would go with a Citizen Garrison over this any day, but then some people care about the "Swiss" thing way more than I do.

Feels more like an aviator to me: the IWC or the Startimer: https://alpinawatches.com/product...utomatic-1

It's a aviator/pilot watch design, which is like a field watch, but bigger, with an oversized crown to be usable with flight gloves, and a simplified, high-contrast dial to provide at-a-glance visibility in less than ideal conditions. It's essentially the first cousin of a field watch.
