Bachan's Japanese barbecue sauce is praised as a versatile sweet teriyaki style sauce that works well on meat, rice, stir fry, marinades, drizzles, and even jerky bases. It gets compared favorably to Yoshida's and Costco's old teriyaki sauce, with the coupon price making it feel like a strong value. The main caveats are that the bottle is smaller than expected and the deal only looks compelling when the 50 percent coupon applies. It seems best for trying the flavor or keeping on hand for quick grilling and Asian dishes.
The sauce can be a convenient option for quick stir-fry when a 50% coupon is available.
A 50% off coupon has reportedly worked when buying five or more items.
The sauce can work well with meat and rice dishes for Asian-style meals.
The sauce can be used for marinades, sauces, and drizzles across different cooking styles.
The sauce can taste relatively good even for someone who generally dislikes pineapple flavors.
The deal may not feel worthwhile without the 50% coupon, since some buyers report no coupon available.
The sauce can taste awful on smoked ribs, even though it may work better on a different cut of meat.
The bottle size can feel smaller than expected, which can reduce value versus larger-size options.
The sauce may be better suited as a grilling accompaniment rather than as a full meal.
