Thanks for the info. I also saw 4 pounds of beef protein also on sale for $52 after S&S. Not apples-to-apples, but it's another option. https://a.co/d/030CKaUI

Some of the recent reviews are a big yikes on that products. Looks like recent batches have been hit or miss

In what way? Quality or taste? I'm fine with the taste being a little off as long as the quality of the ingredients is solid.

Check them out yourself but it seemed to me like some recent batches were not edible... possibly rancid?

If you're like me and hate protein powder that mixes up thick, then this may not be for you. I always look at the ingredient profile for any gums. No gums is ideal but most protein powders have 1. This one actually has a Gum Blend of 3 different types and they are high up in the ingredients list. Some comments also mentions how thick it mixes up.

Comes out to $0.89/serving for me. Is that the standard price now for protein powder? Earlier this year I got deals around $0.55-$0.75/serving.

4lb tub has 57 servings, so I could only get it to $55 / 57 = $0.96 per serving. Anything under $1 is fair price nowadays. For example Costco has On Whey for $80 for 80 servings (5lbs bag).

Apparently there has been reports of a 'protein shortage' so prices have jumped. You can still find/get protein powder for $0.55-$0.75/serving but you'll have to be actively searching for deals when they pop up

The price of cattle is out the roof. Likely a direct relation.
