edit: Shilled right to the frontpage. multiple members saying their no name has been recalled, some saying this brand even. insane SD continues to push this.

This plus you get what you pay for. I don't have experience with this one in particular but I have bought a different cheap amazon kitchen faucet in the last and the hose kinked easily to the point of eventually cracking and leaking. It also ended up having a bad seal around the head before that happened and started spraying water toward you when used. It lasted maybe a couple years but it was a pain dealing with that and a kitchen faucet should not be one of those things that you are replacing regularly every few years IMO

Thank you for calling out the potential for lead toxicity in cheap kitchen faucets. That's the one chemical we try to remove with the expense and effort of water filters. The article "Last week the agency announced the recall of 100,000 kitchen faucets" reports these faucets are made in China and we know they're forever rebranded so chances are recalls will only pull a small percentage out of the usage pool. I really appreciate that you included this article. 🙏

Ehh....yeah....lead...who know's, got proof? I do knoe I bought the silver version of this from Amazon about 5 years ago, never an issue and still works great. It replaced a Delta 4 years old that dripped continuous. I've built homes for 40 years , names mean almost nothing to me anymore.

Lastly, I've gotten better support writing Chinese sellers in Amazon in the past 4 years than I do from major brands that tend to give me the run around when I call for warranty.

So the old rules of thumb that major brands are better is really a much smaller odds play than it used to be. Sadly we're in an environment now that you should probably do some research on ANY brand / product you buy if you want quality and safety.
No just someone who makes informed decisions. One lead poising recall is enough for me. It happens OFTEN with Chinese faucets off Amazon.

I buy these for my rental - worst case if they fail it is easy rebuy and very simple install. Replaced one this week which was 2 years old and was in and out of the house in 20 minutes. I know renters tear stuff up so can't say on "normal" usage other than we have one in our laundry room for a couple years with no issues - although little usage as well. 5 year warranty and if they don't honor it I will just ship the broken one back for a refund.

I bought one of these a while back and had to uninstall it last month when it was recalled. Don't do it, not worth it.

Is it really worth it if the faucet fails and you end up with water damage or have to pull it due to lead concerns? You can find name brand stuff that also installs quick for $100 if you look for sales.

I think that generic faucets are a bad investment, period. I want something that lasts for decades, not a few years, then parts aren't available. Or one that you will need repairs or replacement more often because of their quality.
Well I would like to agree with you as I was always a name brand buyer only.

My wife bought a similar design WeWe faucet 6 years ago when our Delta was leaking and took a strong arm to move between the double sinks (I had overhauled a couple times and tired of the task). I had to cut the bolts to get the thing out which took several hours.

The WeWe; was so easy to install with the single plastic nut that you hand tightened. The thing swings smoothly and control has never dripped even though WeWe gave me a whole spare assy just for registering I have never had to use.

I love the thing and would buy again in a heartbeat especially considering the price difference to get a name brand.

I recently bought this one before becoming aware some of these have lead issues. It drops to $30 often and claims to be tested lead free. Now I'm concerned but if their specifications are to be believed then it is lead free. It does look suspicously like it came from the same factory. I can't tell, naybe I should return it out of caution.
