Why would anyone buy digital content like this anymore? The video game industry is already blazing the trail that "buying" digital content doesnt meaning you are buying a copy of that asset, but only purchasing an access license to that content for as long as they decide to allow.

That's why you make a backup copy.

$29.99 isn't a bad deal. According to CheapCharts $19.99 has been the lowest on Apple, and it was $24.99 as recently as June.

I bought it for $15 on Fandango just a few weeks ago.
It was a posted deal.

Not according to Cheapcharts or SlickDeals. "For Parks and Recreation: The Complete Series (Bundle), the current price at Fandango at Home is $39.99. The lowest price ever was $24.99, available on 06/15/2026. You are paying $15.00 more than the best deal."

You're right, I paid $25. It's weird, as the highest charge for fandango I have on my CC is $15.

I make backup copies of all my physical media, but how do you make a backup copy of a digital movie?

Torrents are the easiest way.

Yeah, I was surprised to see it had been that cheap that recently since I've had a deal alert in for a while waiting for it to be on sale. Figured there'd be some other folks who were up for a not-the-cheapest-ever deal.
