I work for an IT company and we get these bags all the time for our clients rentals and they're truly underrated and top quality. A lot for a great price tbh

I purchased one and have been using it during training at my new job. It's of decent quality, with a simple design, and low cost.

I have this bag and mistakenly trusted it to protect my 5.4lb 16" laptop.
When sliding the bag off my shoulder about 2ft off the ground, the strap slipped through my hands and the bag fell straight to the ground, damaging the corner of the laptop that landed first. Nothing but issues with the gpu ever since, and I had to replace it.
I've moved on to a much hardier bag for my large laptop preferences.

This bag is probably fine for the more ultrabook class. Less momentum and impact pressure for a 2-3lb laptop in a fall than for me to ask it to protect my 5lb+ monster.

These are good for holding a laptop, but not good for dropping a laptop.

There's not much to the padding in these, but they are still great for keeping a laptop and it's stuff all together.

The blue one is $7.20

$7 shipped is just plain stupid. I'd be in for one if my gray one every decided to die but it is going on 2 years of 2-3 days a week use.

But can not store a water bottle - deal breaker for me - did I miss something?

Wow! Thanks for the tip. Even if it's flimsy I like using cheap backpacks as packing cubes when I travel.

Probably good for iPad or tablet with a sleeve already protecting it. I would not trust $10 bag to protect $1000+ ThinkPad..
