I usually prefer physical media but for this one I have to debate whether it's worth it to deal with 40 something discs and standard def for $100.

Someday AI remastering will be good enough to make it happen relatively cheaply. That's the best chance.

They also swapped from practical models to CGI models during the series and all of those would have to be recreated, especially those fleet battles. If you saw the special "what we leave behind," they did remaster a short battle sequence from DS9 and it looked amazing.
I'll probably get hate for this comment but I'd be ok with them using AI to fix the CGI parts only

saw all of tng and loved it. never got around to watching this, any good? the first season was kind of slow and i stopped.

there are specific episodes in season one and two that are decent, but on rewatches, i usually do season 3 and after. but this is my favorite star trek series. there is definitely a darker theme compared to other star trek series especially in the later seasons
