Grabbed the 48A one a week or so ago for the same price (it's nice it can be phased down). Great little box for my Tesla. The app is pretty basic, but can do what I need. So far I'm very happy with it.

Code not working for me.
Update: code worked after I switched from the $390 seller to the $410 seller.

Do you have a Tesla charger to compare this with? I would like to install one at my in laws to charge when I am over there. Don't want to spend $500 on a Tesla charger if this works as well or work almost as good

If it's like the WE48, you can flip the first dip switch up to disable the RFID requirement to start charging. You can also do from the app, but the setting gets lost with a power reboot.

Be sure to check with your local electricity supplier. GA power for example, sells the ChargePoint LVL2 chargers direct to consumers for $299…..regularly $499 on Amazon. You can also be reimbursed for the upgrade to your fuse box and pulling wire. NC pays $1,200 reimbursement.

what does the charger even do exactly? if it's still feeding 220 ac to the car, it's overpriced. if it's converting to dc and managing voltage levels, it's reasonably priced.
Where can I find an AC to DC charger for anything less that $9k?

Why is it much better than a $50 extension cord from a dryer receptical?

Because your car doesn't have a nema 14-50 port?

Looks like this is the WE40(40 amp max), I bought the WE48 when it was 255 a few months ago, and have been pretty happy. App is nice for scheduling charge times, and seeing how much juice I've used per charge, month etc. Never bothered to use the prox card, so couldn't say much about that functionality.
