This is kinda comical and should be expected from nintendo. They have the ability to return money to the affected people but instead provides peoplw an opportunity to spend more as a thank you i guess?

They got 300 Million Dollars back btw that they passed onto us as the consumers. They ARE NOT the good guys! But they are bringing us The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake so they are chill in my book. Last sentence was a joke BTW.

A 30% discount on SM Galaxy 1+2, or amiibo and peripherals (if these are also included), isn't something to sneeze at.

I would only expect a monetary refund if I was forced into buying something. I'm not quite sure anyone was forced into buying what is a luxury, and not a necessity. If we are talking food, I would argue that you are forced to pay increased prices as you must eat to survive. You aren't required to play a video game to sustain life.

Apple got over2 billion and I was at least expecting another annual discount on Apple TV plus. But instead they raised the price for something that isn't affected by AI or tariffs.

Sony could have ran another promotion for the PlayStation membership like they do twice a year but they didn't.

Nintendo got much less money back than those two so they don't really owe us anything

I said this on another SD thread and got downvoted to oblivion.

It's nice to see sane people in this thread. F Nintendo and their worthless sale. I'll continue to use my RP6 with switch games that I permanently OWN.

I for one do not think it is reasonable for companies to give a refund. If you felt the item was overpriced then don't buy it. What they definitely should do is at least lower the prices...
