Community Reviews
This Fanttik pocket laser level is best for indoor layout work, especially hanging shelves, cabinets, and pictures, and the included magnetic mount can pair with a bar clamp or tripod for easier positioning. The beam stays solid when level and flashes when it is out of level, while manual mode locks the pendulum for angled work. The main limits are visibility in bright outdoor or larger spaces and the flashing behavior in manual use, which can be annoying. A handy low cost tool if you mainly need short range indoor alignment.
Common Questions (3)
Yes. When self-leveling is active and the unit is out of range, the beam flashes; once it is level, it stays solid. In manual mode, the pendulum is locked and the beam stays fixed but flashes every 4 seconds.
The included magnetic mount can be paired with a bar clamp to hold the laser on a doorway, cabinet, or similar surface. Using two clamps can help, and the setup should cost less than $20.
It is not practical for daytime outdoor use because the green laser is too weak and difficult to see in bright conditions. It can still work for indoor marking and other close-range jobs, but visibility drops in larger or sunlit spaces.

Not to be too pedantic but that's intermittently rather than constantly so I kind of stand by my original statement. But enabling manual mode on the D2 seems way easier for this device than the 4x360 where you have to hold an arrow for 4 seconds, otherwise turning it on unlocks it. So maybe the user is indeed annoyed by that flash every 4 seconds. Who knows. It flashing once every 4 seconds sounds dumb though.
