NFCU is raising the annual fee on their flagship rewards Visa credit card (the one with the Amazon Prime and TSA PreCheck perks) from $49 to $95. They are also going to start classifying P2P payments as cash-like transactions and giving them associated fees. Summary below. See link for full details.

This takes some of the luster off those perks if that's a big part of why you are with them.

Annual Fee.
We're changing your annual fee amount. Your account currently has a $49 annual fee. When your annual fee is next charged to your account, the fee will be $95.

Transaction Categories.
We updated the definition of Cash Advance. Beginning November 2, 2026, the following will be considered cash-like transactions and will be subject to your 18% Cash Advance APR:
Person-to-person money transfers through third-party services such as Venmo®, PayPal®, Cash App® and Remitly®
Securities broker and dealer purchases, including prediction market purchases

Additional Changes. We clarified when we may share information and how transaction activity may impact your credit or cash limits. We also removed information that required you to sign the back of your card.

You can view the updated terms of the Credit Card Agreement and Disclosure at https://navyfederal.org/nfccad_2026.
