Not bad, the normal low is roughly at the $20-23/year mark

It's a good deal, but there is no way to anonymously pay and subscribe to this.

Unless you need it now, just wait until there's a 100% CB deal. There's always some pretty high (80%+) CB floating around.

I wasn't eligible for the last one, so I did SurfShark (owned by Nord) for 100% CB.

NordVPN doesn't offer port forwarding, if you need it.

Nord is pretty good for torrents, very fast.
Make sure to stack one of the cashback sites with it next time they have a deal, i got 3 years for like 90$ with 110$ back in cashback.

How can something offer premium service but still be basic?
This sounds like corporate BS.

Same issue here. Couldn't find a way to email Newegg, so guess I'll have to wait until their live chat reopens tomorrow.

Use case example for needing port forward? Genuinely asking.

FWIW, if the code does not exactly match the product you have, you may not see your expiration date adjust as expected. For example, I have a sub good until Oct 2029 that includes Dark Web Monitor and some other features--I wasn't looking for those, they were just included in the deal at the time I subbed. I bought a NordVPN Standard code from Woot and redeemed it against my account, but the expiration date did not change. After multiple CS contacts over a few weeks I was advised of the point above--if your add'l renewal does not match the features of your current sub, you will not see your expiration date changed. But rest assured, you did actually redeem that sub extension for the additional year. Yeah, hopefully, but keep emails and screenshots as records just to be safe.

Traffic that needs to be fast or unrestricted.

The major use today is for people who torrent, because port forwarding opens a specifically identified channel upload to other users. Without bidirectional data, torrents run slower.

It's also used for online gaming. Games with lots of information transfer between users usually need a forwarded port to reduce lag.

Some remote working jobs use it as well.
