Resale is an odd choice of words. Has it been refurbished? Like new is not new and a red flag when grading used products.

Edit: Anyone who has had a Logictech mouse knows the switches only have so many clicks in them. You can clean up the outside but unless you replace the guts it's hardly worth it.

I thought the limited clicks was last generation and these are much much better with little to no reports of failure. Did I miss something about the X variant?

Amazon has this as description of "Like New" condition:
Used-Like New: Opened but barely used and looks and works like new. The item has been opened and may have been lightly handled, but shows no meaningful signs of use. The seal is broken and there may be minor packaging damage, but the item inside is in near-perfect condition. Think of a product someone unboxed, tried once, and returned.

Or someone put a bag of brown sugar in the box and returned.

This model is where they finally fixed the problem.

No different than an Amazon return. Not inspected at all.
