Balances on physical McDonald's Arch Cards may be transferred to a digital Arch Card in your McDonald's mobile app account. Balances on eGift Cards must be transferred to a digital Gift Card in your McDonald's mobile app account in order to be used. When balances on multiple Cards are transferred to the app, they will be combined into a single balance which may be used through the app.
Once the balance of a physical McDonald's Arch Card or eGift Card is successfully transferred to the digital Gift Card in your McDonald's mobile app account, the balance no longer exists on the original physical Arch Card or eGift Card and is only accessible through the app. The transfer cannot be reversed.

Maybe as another person said in this thread, they will actually add this feature in the app this fall... Millions of people have compliant about the lack of this feature for years... BK takes physical GC just fine
