Looks like the brass one is just a brass inlet pipe? I've never had an issue with plastic ones. If you're stripping the plastic threads you're tightening way to much.

And I thought overtightening was also concern of cracking the porcelain tank? So you don't want something you can crank way tighter anyways?

I see they have a PRO45H that's meant for ""low flow" toilets built after 2005 that are High Efficiency Toilets (1.28gpf or less).'

Does that mean the PRO45 Brass is only for old toilets that are greater than 1.28gpf?

I replaced a bad fill valve with the lower end Fluidmaster, and it doesn't work properly after several adjustments. I'll start over with this one.

fluidmaster is common.
we all replace them in a few years, for various reasons.

i switched to korky, thousands of positive reviews.
