This Optimum Nutrition Fruity Cereal whey deal stands out for its low price per pound and the larger 2 pound tub, especially versus pricier same flavor listings. The flavor lands on both sides of the ledger, with some describing it as tasting like Fruity Loops and others calling it harsh, chemical, or hard to mix. The formula also draws attention for Red 40, sucralose, and a reported missing inner seal. The deal is capped at three units, making it a tempting but flavor risky pickup.
The deal price is positioned as strong versus other 2-pound Optimum Nutrition flavors that are reportedly priced much higher.
Some buyers report the Fruity Cereal flavor tastes like Fruity Loops and feels better than Isopure.
Some shoppers say the powder can work well when mixed with plain water, with no noticeable aftertaste in at least one flavor.
The listing's 2-pound size can help keep the final cost close to other retailers' smaller tubs after discounts.
Multiple comments warn the flavor can taste unpleasant, including descriptions like chemicals, pine sole, lemon pledge, and "tastes like crap."
Several comments flag Red 40 and sucralose as unnecessary ingredients in this flavor.
Some comments report the tub may arrive without an inner cardboard seal, which raises packaging concerns.
The deal is limited to three units, which can restrict how many tubs can be purchased at the sale price.
