I've used cheap to 200 dollar headphones and am definitely not a professional. I have the K702s bought for 99 dollars from guitar center and definitely think their worth it compared to any cheap headphones I've bought.

What an interesting take you have though. Given that then outside of professional use for any product we should buy the cheapest acceptable product. Pro gamers for mice, monitors, gpus, cpus. The argument you're making is ridiculous. Given anyone living in ignorance can live with the bare minimum, I doubt everyone would agree with you or your point.
