Charmin Ultra Mega XL is being used as a low cost bulk toilet paper deal, with the strongest value coming from stacking Walgreens Cash and the P and G rebate. The Ultra Soft version is described as thinner, longer lasting, and gentler on older pipes, while Ultra Strong is preferred for less lint and less residue on the holder and floor. The main caution is deal complexity, since coupons, Walgreens Cash, and rebate thresholds can change the qualifying total. Shipping and pickup also appear unreliable, with partial fills and out of stock removals reducing the savings.
Common Questions (5)
Walgreens Cash redemption is treated separately from the item price, but the receipt total shown after rewards can make the rebate math harder to verify. The safer approach is to base the P&G submission on the item return values and coupon-adjusted product total, not the post-rewards amount.
Ultra Soft is described as thinner, plenty strong, and probably better for septic systems or older pipes because Ultra Strong reportedly does not break down as easily once flushed. Ultra Soft is also noted to leave more lint or dust, while Ultra Strong is preferred by shoppers who want less residue.
Clipping the $1 coupon and adding enough product can push the order to the rebate threshold, and there is also an extra $10 Walgreens Cash coupon for spending $50 that can be clipped from the main coupon page. One later scenario also notes a separate $15 Walgreens Cash on $45 P&G spend, but the exact payout depends on the current offer set.
Yes. Orders placed for shipping or pickup can be partially filled when one pack is out of stock, which can drop the total and ruin the deal math; Walgreens has also canceled orders and sometimes issued goodwill Walgreens Cash.
Use the Walgreens order receipt PDF, the UPC listed on each item, and the item's "Return Value" as the per-unit cost basis. That value reflects coupons and discounts but excludes tax and Walgreens Cash, which is the cleanest number to enter for the rebate.

What I was saying above, though, is if adding 1 extra of the original packs and my pack I linked to, it comes to $75 almost exactly on the dot after coupons. People (probably you, but I forget who) have said before that walgreens cash does not affect the p&g rebate amount. But I don;t see how that is true because the receipt at the bottom will show an amount after walgreens cash is redeemed.
But I just realized I totally messed up. That does not get the most out of this deal. Now my first $50 of products gets $40 back and the next $25 would only get $10 back.
Do you think if I return the 2 extra items I get they will refund me the reward dollars or my gift card dollars? If they would refund me the reward dollars I will return them and claim the $15 rebate. Otherwise I really ruined this deal by getting $25 extra stuff just to get a $10 extra rebate. AND that is if it even works since the receipt total will show under $75 because I used $20 rewards. This was late at night and I was not thinking on how that extra $10 ruined the overall price per roll.
Also, what is to stop people from claiming the rebate and then returning items? I doubt p&g would know that info.
I bet if I return itmes it will refund the gift card and ruin the entire deal. And then if it does not give the $10 and $15 coupoins back I;d be screwed.
The $15 Walgreens Cash on $45 spent on P&G items is a multi use coupon. The $2 off 1 coupon and $10 WCR on $50 spent coupons will likely be lost as they've been used.
Buy 3 Charmin at $21.99 each - 20% off with promo code: SAVE20 = $52.78. (Don't pay with Walgreens Cash).

Not the best deal, but more certain than what you were trying to do. Good luck!

1) Log in to your Walgreens account and search for your order.
2) Go to your order page and there should be an option to "View Receipt PDF" which you can save for your rebate submission
3) Under each item, there should be a UPC code for the item that you can use for your rebate submission
4) Use the "Return Value" listed underneath the item as the per unit cost. This should be inclusive of coupons/discounts but exclusive of tax and Walgreens Cash. Base your total spent off of this value.

If that works, it was still a good deal. But I just made it worse than it would have been by not thinking it through! So annoying. At least I did not spend any actual cash, though. All gift card and rewards dollars.
