Uber charges more if you have gift card credit on your account. I had this issue after using a gift card and comparing ride fare prices with friends for the same pickup and destination address.

Cheers for this. I was able to get both Uber and DoorDash, and got the codes within a minute or two.

Couple of newbies getting exited, this is not really a deal , if you can wait till thanks giving you may get them at 70 or 75, That wold be a deal.

I guess I will wait until thanksgiving to get food?

The way you make these a day regardless of price, is you buy them then go to your uber eats app and change the payment method going back up to 30 days. Because if you just load these onto the app and use them as gift cards, Uber Eats will jack up the prices of your orders to offset a lot of your gain. Plus you have to then carry gift cards. So buy for 20% off, go change payment method on prior orders, get that refunded and replaced with the gift cards. That's how you make these slick.

i find no difference if paying with credit card or gift card.

or are you saying that by just having the gift card loaded, the price will change even if paying by credit card?

If you have an Executive Membership you can have a second user free on your account. Each user can buy the $200 per transaction limit every 14 days, so effectively you can buy about $800/month per Executive Membership. You also get your 2% in Costco rewards earnings plus 3% (or whatever rate yours earns) for your CC because it gets coded as Costco and not a GC purchase. All together, 25% off (and 30% when they do the periodic $75 for $100 deals).

This is utter nonsense that gets repeated by someone in every Uber GC deal thread. Uber and other rideshare/delivery companies all use dynamic pricing based upon supply and demand. When two people enter the same request at the "same time", one is actually hitting the queue first and it's expected that the pricing will vary. If you don't trust this, then pay directly using a CC, then add your GC credit and switch payment methods later. Unnecessary, but will appease those who believe the myth.

This deal is great news, though interesting timing with uber having recently had a 15% off promotion off their own
