The U7 and U8 definitely impressed me when I saw them in person at BestBuy. I went with a TCL QM7K but I think it's pretty well matched.

The U7 is the one with an anti glare screen, I ordered that model a few days ago and already have it installed. Very impressive in a room with bright windows and glare. My old TV had a gloss finish and that was such a terrible experience. I Spent a lot of time an RTINGS had this one like 2nd on the list of glare free experiences (the best is a higher tier $2500+ model). Side note, I got the Amazon Fire Model, not the google model. Both exist if you have a preference. AKA you can get this off amazon and shipped in 2 days, I also saw some new options where they'll bring it in or unpack it/haul away.

Appreciate the post. Almost bought the TCL q7ml pro from Costco. Wasn't loving the glossy screen but figured I'd just deal with it. The matte screen on this Hisense is just awesome. Picture quality is great and I like the remote better than TCL's. The OS is fast and easy to use. Only downside is I lost out on the 5yr warranty through Costco, but since I saved $50 on the TV over the TCL I may put that towards the $190 5yr Geek Squad. Great TV for anyone thinking about it.

good price but this TV only came out a couple of months ago so I will wait and hope it drops to $800 or below. This is the model I'm waiting for though. Hisense announcements didn't list Dolby Vision 2 for this TV but it appears to have the same MediaTek Pentonic 800 SOC so it might be able to get it
