I hate these because I can never get a clear picture of fair discounts in one spot. Like yeah they're 40% off but if you try to search your airport or even using the fair calendar I can just never find deals that good and it's frustrating.

Flying Ontario airport, all my flights got so inflated that 40% off is actually more expensive than last week's fares! Fake sale, at least for ONT.

The majority of ticket cost is airport, 911, carrier fees etc. So 40% off the base fair usually wont result in much savings ... the majority of costs is beyond the carriers control

I find that prices typically vary across the promotion period, but usually are not the lowest right at the start. Maybe it takes some time for the discounts to reflect in their POS

Thanks to their incompetence , I found Delta and never turned back.. even direct flight now instead of layovers is a bonus.. but then Delta adds two bags for free if you have their CC... Southwest really screwed up a good thing

Fare was about the same as other airlines on same dates/same airports.
Their credit card offer makes it seem like you have to get a card to get the discount. Click past the CC ad and you realize price isn't discounted any more than any other airline for that time.

Only reason I ever fly SW is because I get $500 free with my Chase Reserve, otherwise it's always Delta or AA.

Delta hub is Atlanta- great if you live near Atlanta. I fly SW because that's the carrier that serves the PNW, so I get more direct flights for less cost.

"Free after you pay" as my wife says. There are zero free things, ever. A price is always paid.
