I've got the Atomi one (12K / 23.9 SEER2) on the way from Costco. Paid $700 so not as cheap obviously but having Costco return policy & 5/7yr warranty support along with the high SEER2 rating seemed worth a bit extra.

Took me a while to get it installed. Had to run a long wire run (12/2 wire on 20 amp circuit), then pour a small concrete slab. Needed to get a vacuum pump and gauges.
And need this adapter for the gauges. https://www.homedepot.c
Also, get a small bottle of NYLOG BLUE for the flare nuts so they don't leak. I also got this torque wrench. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LCBU...title
This thing is ice-cold. And the heater gets really hot. Very quite also, I can barely even hear it running. Nice remote control and can also control it with smart app.
I finally got my Atomi 12K from Costco up and running today. Nice unit, nice build quality, and Costco return policy worth paying a couple hundred more for me.

My biggest hurdle is going to be the wire run. Mine's also going to be a long run because my main box is on the opposite side of the house - going to have to go up from my basement to the attic through a wall, over, then back down again through two more top/bottom plates, which is going to require opening up the wall in a couple spots in my master bedroom.
I grabbed a wall mount bracket for mine to keep it off the ground since I live in a snowy area (although I don't really plan to use it for heat much, especially in really cold weather since the gas furnace will likely be cheaper) - the wall mount also has long enough 'arms' to ensure appropriate offsets.
Appreciate the info, especially on the flare nut sizes on the 12K; wasn't sure based on the installation guide which ones it uses. I guess I may end up picking up that torque wrench. I was planning on using a 3/8" with a set of crowfoot flare wrenches I already have, but now that I've checked those I definitely don't have a 24mm one.
Mine's set to be delivered this friday but I have company so I probably won't have it installed until the weekend after. Should've gone ahead and ordered it earlier but I've been on the fence since a 12K window unit's been doing the job 'just fine'.

I was going to get another Costco Atomi 12K, but they are not on sale any more. Were $699, but now are $999. Even $699 is kind of high, but was worth it for the Costco "forever" return policy. But forget about $999, that's too high.
Now that I have bought all the mini split tools for the install, figured it made sense to get one for the garage that gets really hot during the summer. Currently have a portable A/C in the garage, but it just doesn't cut it. Wanted to get another Costco Atomi, but not for a thousand bucks. The Costway seems like a well respected and reliable brand, so went with this Costway.
