But I suspect it's pretty junky
Has anyone found anything similar they use and like? I'd like to have a cheap alternative to using my GoPro but haven't yet
Dude there are a bunch of use-cases for small cameras like these.
1. Your phone may be hindered by space/storage
2. Your phone may be more cumbersome to hold in tight spaces
3. You may not want to expose your phone to rain or elements and don't care if this device gets wet, stained, etc
4. These devices are much smaller, so when you are limited by pocket/purse space then these are easier to bring on brief outings
5. Your phone's AF lens/camera will be damaged with heavy vibrations so these can be put up to more abuse without worrying about long-term damage
along with dozens of other potential scenarios
