FYI that Costco has this for $149.99 as regular price but it does not include the palm rest.

Re Logitech MX Mechanical, I tried it alongside the Logitech Alto Keys K98M at Best Buy since they had both. The Alto felt better for me and had a nice 'thock,' but it has fullsize keys versus the MX and unfortunately omits the print screen/snippet button. Best Buy also has the MX Keys S which I was pretty sure I wanted until trying out the mechanical.

I am selling my mx mechanicals due issue on what I said regarding backlight leds, but mx mechanicals have different key configurations. I believe you tried one of kind that felt wrong.

I know they have three different switches types (tactile, linear, clicky) but that wasn't really the difference I felt. The Alto has's full size keys so you get more travel, and the switches they use have less side to side wobble. A bit hard to explain.

Sorry you've been having issues with yours and good to know that they can be problematic. I'm hoping to get a good deal on one that has a print screen button and also a volume knob - maybe a Keychron.

I think the bigger takeaway for me from my Best Buy visit was how good a mechanical felt because I've never used one. For those of you on the fence, you might want to try out a mechanical before spending this much money on a more standard type. Although th3 MX Keys S feels very good too and you can try it out at Best Buy or Costco. It feels like a premium laptop keyboard.
