I got this Kobalt tool station 2 or 3 years ago when it was on sale...it's an ok starter chest for someone who is just starting and has basic tools. But if you have a number of tools such as complete set of sockets, wrenches etc...you cannot open more than 1 drawer at a time as it will tip over and fall due to the weight of the extended drawers. All my bottom drawers are completely filled with heavier impact wrenches etc. and even then it tipped over. It definitely requires some kind of fastening on the back otherwise disaster waiting to happen. The wood on the top is also thin and is not suitable for vise unless you install some kind of metal plate.

Depends on space too . Example would be if placing in front of the garage and not on the side. With my length of car(genesis g80) I can put it in front no problem. The US General(22inch width) would have been doable but just a little tighter when walking to get to the fridge.

Been eyeing this, Husky and Yukon. No rush and I might wait till BF to see, I can save some money. I think HF had %20 off for ITC member last weekend which would have brought Yukon down to ~$285. I am hoping Husky will be under 300

I snatched up one of the 46" Yukons for $288 with ITC last weekend. We'll see how nice it is when it arrives. Seemed like a heck of a deal

Think I just bought the 36" bottom from Hart/Walmart for 250 shipped. Seems good depending on Yukon quality.

I've got the 46.1 inch Kobalt instead only $50 dollar difference but $100 cheaper. It's got more space than this.

not sure about this model exactly but Last year Husky 46" got down to $349 in late October and $298 around Thanksgiving week. Home Depot does offer price adjustments within 30 days.

I can't recall if Lowes got down to the same price or it it stayed $349.

Lastly, Kobalt and Husky have slow close slides and an integrated power strip if those features matter. That seems to be the differentiator vs Yukon.

This. If you're going fill a rolling cabinet with a lot of heavy/dense mechanics tools, I would recommend going with the US General.
Their 42" actually has more storage capacity by volume than this 46" Yukon. And it's weight capacity is more than double.
The USG cabinet weighs about 325 pounds empty and has a deep enough footprint so you don't worry about it tipping over, compared to the Yukon which only weighs 185 lbs.
