used gear prices are not slickdeals, just goto a garage sale or facebook marketplace is you want used stuff, and stop comparing the price of used stuff to brand new stuff and thinking its good. $40 sale on an $80 product might be a slick deal, $40 for something used is not remotely comparable to $80 new.

If it's used-like new, there's a good chance it's an open box return, not beat to heck like things that were actually used for extended periods
