According to reviews the handle often breaks on this model.

Saw an IG video of using one of these to flatten chicken breasts into cutlets. Good price to give it a shot. I'll just be careful with the handle

I recommend just putting the chicken in a plastic bag and just bashing it with a pot until flat.

I've got one. No issues with the handle. I do use parchment paper so the tortilla doesn't get stuck to the press, and I pre-moosh the dough-balls so they're flattish before pressing

I have a victory brand of same press. It's all cast iron so it won't break. The pin holding handle on may break but is easily replaceable.

Try cutting up 1 gallon ziplock. Works so much better then parchment paper.

Maybe people order them imagining they're gonna churn out tons of fresh made tortillas w/o doing any actual work, and then realize...naw it's still work =D

Cast iron is brittle. You can break the handle by pushing too hard on it. That said, you don't need to push very hard for corn masa.

Great suggestion. That's what I've been doing for a long time. Works great. I forget that not everyone knows about that trick sometimes.
