Roughly as fast as a 3060 or RX 6600 XT. You absolutely need a computer with Resizable BAR support for this or it will be very slow.

It's a tech that allows your CPU to address all of the VRAM on your video card rather in smaller chunks at a time. Added on 10th gen Intel and 3000 series AMD CPUs. If you have something from those series, I'd check your motherboard settings, you may need a firmware update, or to just turn it on in your BIOS.

Alchemist still receives compatibility fixes, security updates, game support and shared driver improvements. Granted game optimizations are not a priority but the cards are still capable. They can also be used to do some lighter AI tasks like local chat, image generation and image enhancement.

Would love to score a used low profile Arc A310 for under a hundred bucks for my Plex server to help with transcoding. I bought a 12GB Nvida Tesla M40 but wound up not being able to use it as it needs a plugin that my super micro server PSU does not have. I bought an adapter to use but I have been too lazy to tear my server down again to install it.

I bought this card several years ago new for less money. It's in my system with a Ryzen 5 5600. I have a second system with an i5 10500K mated to an old Nvidia GTX 1650. If this were a little cheaper, I'd buy a second for the i5. It just feels hard to swallow to pay more for a used one today. But it's the times we live in.

November last year I purchased the B580 from BB with the 20% CB from Paypal for $214, and returned due to issues with my TV (used as monitor). Now I regret it.

I returned a 2TB WD NVME SSD that I bought for $155. They're around $400 right now. I need one but I can't make myself pay $400 for something I bought for $155 before

I bought so many m.2's and ssd's years ago I have 7 running on my main pc, I do not regret wasting all that money now, I won't need a new one for serval years or until there is a huge advance in technology. I'm running 10tb of storage and that's just on my main I have plenty installed on my back ups and back up back ups.

Same here. Last year got 4+2 Tb of good, PCIe 4.0 NVMes for my wife, 4+1 for one of my computers, and 2+2 for the other. I think we'll be able to weather the current RAMageddon.

I was going to scavenge an old broken gaming laptop for parts to build a low powered home server. Ended up fixing the laptop and now have a low powered server.
