good frame but be warned frameos software is paywalled bs that only allows you to use your phone to manage photos on the frame if you pay for their subscription. otherwise you have to physically interact with the frame to interact/change any photos once theyre uploaded.

I ordered this yesterday, arrived today and hacked / setup this evening. It was a major pain in the ass but I got it to work. I'm not sure what others did but this is basically what i did:

- Removed the Frameo app completely (including its boot-up splash screen) so it never loads again.. I don't care / don't plan to use that.
- Set Fully Kiosk Browser as the only thing that starts up, locked into kiosk mode with root access enabled. This was the biggest pain point because it was complaining about a stale web view (ver61).
- Fixed the ancient built-in browser engine by moving my already-downloaded Google WebView app into the system folder (downloaded and installed via adb).. turns out that's all it took, no special permissions or signing needed
- End result: frame boots straight into my kiosk dashboard, running a modern browser engine instead of a 2017-era one, and Frameo is gone for good

It's rootable but slowww. I have it, had Hermes root and set up remote adb access.

This is the perfect frame for relatives. We got them for my parents, in laws and grandparents. That way I can send family photos and updates to all or select frames. You can pay for extra features but I don't care about photo management I just. Are about having something that I can send photos to knowing that family will be able to get updates.

People have struggled to replace it with HASS.... Some people were able to install it but it does not automatically load it at startup and also has other issues... Good luck but don't expect it to work seamlessly.

I got 2 of the 10.1 back in June for $30. They work great and honestly you cannot find anything close to it in price. I finally replaced my old one that used a USB stick so glad I can finally send photos wirelessly.
