Wow I used to watch this religiously, still semi funny here and there but definitely not as edgy as it was 10 years ago.
I think they've gotten a bit lazy to be honest.
Honestly to even somewhat funny after 29 seasons is an accomplishment. I bet half the people reading our comments weren't even born when episode 1 came out. That is a lot of material, going to get stale at some point...plus I bet some of what we consider funny has changed during that time period.
That being said, the last season did kinda suck. The Trump stuff was funny, at first, but they just beat that worse than a dead horse. And the entire "Tegridy" story line should have been a single episode, not a freaking season or two.
