This apparently would need a box and a BMS, and terminals to wire too. I know there are kits out there for this kind of thing. I can see that this would give me greater flexibility to build a quality battery and ease in repair and maintain one as well.
But I am failing to see the savings associated with building your own here.

For the DIY, the total was $1723 for a 16.38kWh system, including shipping (and including busbars). That breaks down to $105/kWh. The cheapest cost GPT could figure out for a comparable eco worthy server rack system with similar capacity was $2500. So, the off-the-shelf route would be roughly 45% more than DIY.
Now, I don't believe the DIY batteries are UL certified, so that's a big issue from a permitting standpoint.
