Five Guys is landing as a pricey but customizable burger deal, with fresh ground beef, lots of free toppings, and fries that remain the standout for many orders. The BOGO can bring two burgers into a more reasonable range, especially when stacked with credits, though adding fries quickly pushes the total back up. The main knocks are high regular prices, occasional bland or underseasoned burgers, and fries that can turn soggy or arrive in smaller portions. It feels best when the toppings and fries matter more than the base burger.
The fries can deliver strong satisfaction, including praise for seasoning and the option to use BOGO on large fries.
The B1G1 offer can reduce the effective burger cost to around $30 for two burgers, making the meal feel more attainable.
The deal can make it easier to justify Five Guys as a periodic splurge, with some people planning it as a post-workout meal.
The coupon can stack with an AMEX Gold Five Guys $10 monthly credit to produce very low totals for multiple triple bacon cheese burgers.
The burger quality can fall short, including reports of under-salted or zero-flavor burgers even after adding condiments.
The fries can turn limp or soggy in the bag, and some reports suggest ventilation for steam is needed to avoid sogginess.
The Five Guys app can crash during evening hours, which can disrupt ordering timing and cause delays.
The B1G1 deal may stop feeling worthwhile when regular fries are added, since totals can rise quickly.

Five Guys offers more toppings for free, but IMO the base burger tastes much better at Culver's. Probably because Culver's actually seasons their burgers.
I only ever went to Five Guys for the fries anyway

Overall - and same experience a few months back - 5guys just sucks now. The burgers have Zero flavor. I added ketchup/mustard and mayo - all I tasted was some sort of sweet, bland flavor. At one time 5guys burgers hit hard - tasted amazing. They just suck now. When I went to pick up my order - the bottom of the bag was just wet from grease - and I didn't even purchase fries.
5Guys - 4/10.
Burger King has way more flavor and costs a lot less.
