No, you should be mature enough to realize that you got a lemon and had a bad experience which is only limited to you instead of making similar comments on other Alienware laptop deals periodically since the past 2 years. This wasn't a known issue with any Alienware devices, and if it was perhaps, it might have been limited to the X14 and is certainly not an issue in the current generation of Alienware laptops.
Secondly, this is definitely not cheap because of that, if anything it's expensive if we look at the deals in hindsight from 8-10 months ago, but due to the hike in component prices this would be considered cheap and more or less a deal.

After our ownership of an Alienware X14 I'll pass even at this price. We paid $660 for the X14 and don't think it was worth it. Just out of warranty the WiFi card died then the motherboard, costing like $300 to replace, and it's already having issues again.

Lower wattage 5060 so not the strongest. This is basically a dell G series gaming laptop in an alienware tracksuit.

I concur

I bought a 16X and it's a lemon. To make it operate we had to use old drivers and cap the GPU.

Google 16X Alienware BSOD and there still isn't an update

Think you both have a point. Personally I wouldn't buy an expensive gaming laptop from any brand (over $1k or so); the graphics cards are nerfed due to size constraints when compared to towers and there's very little room for components to breathe. The significantly higher failure rate is a problem all laptops have in general compared to towers, but gaming laptops are pricy and not worth whatever you gain in portability imo

"Whatever you gain in portability" I mean... you gain infinite, because a desktop tower is by definition not portable.

It's like saying "A corvette is better than a truck, and not worth whatever ability to tow a large boat you gain". Like if you need to tow a boat, then a Corvette is worthless.

I also agree. I am forever done with MSI the same way, with their exploding hinges, general bad design (to sell, not to use or last), and even worse CS. Some companies simply suck and brands tend to get worse rather than better.
