While this isn't a terrible game, it got a lot of things wrong and is easily the worst in the series. The motorcycle is stupid and just doesn't fit (though my 11yo really liked it). The desert is empty and boring and doesn't fit. The 'psychic' everything is stupid and is really just a new name for abilities that existed in older entries in the series. The NPCs are generally annoying. The green crystal fetch quest to get the 'Memory Fruit' is really stupid and annoying. The puzzles and exploration are lacking compared to earlier entries in the series. But for all of these things that it got wrong, the core gameplay is still there and is really solid. If you're a fan of the series then this is probably still worth playing for you. If you're not a fan of the series then stay far away. If you're new to the series then just go buy Metroid Prime Remastered. That isa really good game.

First one I'm not buying. Wii motion controls were bad enough... But the motorcycle and whiny person is too much. I like quiet walking samus.

it's just such a bad game. i just switched it to easy difficulty and starting using a walkthrough because i want to be done with it as soon as possible

This Metro Games style didn't age well from game cube. Upgrade graphics yes hard and core fans may like but pass on every one.

I wonder if they got the kinks worked out while playing this game via emulation. Last time I tried this game out was on Citron last year after its release. Unfortunately, there's a bug that forces you play at 1080p or you'll be unable to use the scanner to pass through doors.
