Community Reviews
The Hobbit Gift Bundle is mainly a collector focused value play, with 9 play boosters, 1 collector booster, a spindown, and themed lands. The collector booster alone is treated as the main draw, since it can sell for around $70 and makes the extra cost over a regular bundle easier to justify. It is less appealing for chasing specific playable cards, where buying singles is the better route. Packaging quality from the vendor was criticized, and the set is seen as poor for favorable pack odds if you are buying for returns.
Collectors chasing sealed value, because the bundle adds a collector booster on top of nine play boosters and can preserve value better than opening other packs.
Shoppers who want a collector booster without paying separate retail, because the bundle effectively bundles one in at a lower combined price than buying components alone.
Fans who enjoy ripping packs for fun, because the collector booster and themed extras make the bundle feel like a no-brainer compared with buying a plain bundle.
Long-term holders of sealed product, because the extra play boosters on top of a collector booster can make the bundle worthwhile to keep unopened.
Players hunting specific cards for decks, because buying singles is the better route than opening this bundle.
Buyers expecting favorable pack value, because the collector booster odds are over 99% against getting favorable EV.
Shoppers who need pristine shipping, because the vendor packaging can arrive flagrantly handled.

For those that got in congratulations! Likely be the last time anything hobbit mtg with anything related to collector will be close to msrp at a big box online retailer.
Now selling for $120+ on Walmart from independent sellers and Best Buy is showing $250. Insanity.
