This keychain multi tool is best as a compact box opener and backup screwdriver for times when a knife or full tool is not nearby. It has held up for years in daily carry, and the current version adds useful extras like a Phillips head, nail puller, and serrated edge. The bottle opener, flathead, and pry bar feel redundant to some, and the taped box use can leave gunk on keys. TSA concerns and cheaper similar tools elsewhere also come up, making it a handy but niche carry.
The tool can be useful for opening boxes and ripping tape when a knife is inconvenient.
The keychain multi-tool can keep working well for over a decade of regular use.
The tool can be handy for quick access to a basic flathead screwdriver when tools are nearby.
The tool can work as a keychain option for people who only carry a car remote due to keypad entry.
The bottle opener and flathead can feel like low-value features for some users.
The pry bar and other functions can be dismissed as not useful for opening packages.
Tape or adhesive gunk can be a concern because it may get onto keys and transfer into locks.
The tool may get confiscated during travel if it is too long or has sharp edges, so it may be risky to pack in a bag for flights.

imo, if you need a gadget to have on you all the time to do some handy stuff, just get a minimalist pocketknife or multitool.

Or the Kershaw PT-2 is also way more useful, with a sharper edge for boxes.
