i just got my first half today. i got pretty lucky coz they're in great shape. only one of them shows some scuffs at the corners, probably coz it had been on the shelf for too long. my other half arrives supposedly tomorrow. keeping my fingers crossed.

This is a first, The vinyl is used and they just stuck the shipping label on the front and that's how it was delivered. I ordered a bunch and most of the are beat to hell too. This is by far the worst shipping i've ever dealt with

I had several arrive in with the shrink torn, bent corners, etc - one or two are "okay". One even arrived completely open looking like it was found at a yard sale. I have a few more coming which I'm dreading.

Anyone have additional insight on dealing with BB customer service?

Damn, I've had the complete opposite experience. I had a few arrive today and the wife and I literally joked about how silly the packaging was… gigantic boxes, huge bubble wrap,etc….

I'm not sure where our disconnect is. East coast locations shipping well? Our particular DC's not slacking? Dunno. Definitely surprised refreshing this thread after our delivery so far.

Came to post my shipping experience and looks like several people beat me to it. Smilie Ordered a ton and most are either damaged with bent corners, ripped shrink wrap, missing shrink wrap and one is obviously used. Not the OP' fault but even at these prices ill pass next time if from best buy. Probably going to return most and hoping best buy customer service does not reject the used one.

it was a total of almost $270 (a few of them were 14.99 and then taxes). and yeah, i've been collecting vinyl for about 12 years. got my first haul at a thrift shop when i was 15. most of my albums have been bought for 1.99 at second-hand stores. i've also bought a lot of stuff through discogs, but these days the sellers are getting greedy. i'm pretty omnivorous when it comes to music, so i am up to ~1,200 albums on vinyl (and maybe 800 on cd).

like you, i also collect movies. plus, i have a large book collection, lol. luckily, i have the space for it, but i will probably slow down soon. there's never enough time to truly enjoy the things we collect.

It depends on the shipper. One of my orders arrived with the shipping practice you've mentioned. The other was in a flimsy, brown envelope. Ridiculous!

i have ripped some of them (about 300--many of them during the covid days) and save them to an old flash-modded ipod for portability. the turntable i have is pretty friendly in that regard (an audio-technica AT-LP120XUSB-BZ). as far as software i just use audacity. i'm sure however that there are better, more suitable to audiophiles type of options though.

the second half of my order arrived today, and i'm both relieved and happy coz all records are in brand new condition (only one had the shrink wrap slightly ripped). this time they were super well protected (big box with several layers of bubble wrap). i was stressing out after seeing some of the horror stories that some of you have dealt with.
