The size 25 president reel coupling with a 6'6" rod feels a bit off. The 25 reel is on the smaller side. The 5'6" combo seems to be decent but is $10 more expensive.

It can be used for fishing rivers and panfish in ponds and lakes. I got that combo and pairing the 25 reel with a 5' ultralight. The 6'6 rod will be used for specific scenarios only. Could also be used as a beater rod when you have kids or friends over.
Also, the more expensive 5'6 deal is still $50 less than online pricing at other retailers.
